Head of Finance

Our client is a  privately owned, highly entrepreneurial creative design agency & consultancy. As part of their ongoing growth strategy they are now seeking a hands on, technically strong yet strategically minded head of Finance to join their senior management team. This role will report directly to the owner-founder and will be extremely visible across the rest of the business. On a day-to-day basis, the Head of Finance will be responsible for managing the finance function in it’s entirety, whilst working alongside the MD and broader management team on a number of commercial and strategic projects.

Key duties will include;

·        Preparation of monthly management and statutory accounts

·        Ownership and improvement of finance system and associated controls and processes

·        Day-to-day management of the treasury function, including cash management, cashflow forecasting and management of the working capital cycle

·        Managing relationships with banks and providers of external financing

·        Management of cost controls

This role is extremely broad and will require the Head of Finance  deliver budgeting, forecasting and corporate performance analysis, as well as corporate finance initiatives, including potential equity capital raising and M&A projects.

Ideal applicants will be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc) with experience of working within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial business. Applicants will have a proven track record of taking ownership of financial and operational processes and will be comfortable working in a creative business . There is a large emphasis on delivering an effective business partnering function, therefore experience of working within a design and/or advertising organisation would be a plus
