Following a continued period of growth this highly profitable medium sized contracting business is looking to recruit a Finance Manager to oversee the smooth running of their Finance department.

Job Description:
- Based at the head office and reporting to the Financial Director you will manage and develop a finance team of seven.
- Daily cash flow monitoring and forecasting.
- Provide oversight of the fortnightly payroll of direct employees and sub-contractors using Sage software.
- Introduce robust internal controls.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations of cost-reduction opportunities.
- Oversee the purchase ledger process and supplier payments.
- Manage the company fleet of vehicles.
- Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
- Provide ongoing review of IT systems and interfaces.
- Manage and report on overhead budgets.
- Other duties include, monthly VAT returns, payments to HMRC, cashbook and nominal postings, and liaising with external auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out.

The Individual
- Qualified accountant.
- The role requires a highly numerate individual with strong IT and financial analysis skills.
- Someone who can develop and improve on existing systems and processes to improve business efficiency and accuracy and also to minimise financial risk.
- Proven experience at Finance Manager level.
- Ideally experience within the construction industry with knowledge of CIS system, but this is not considered essential.
