Management Accountant

Salix Homes is a newly formed Registered Social Landlord with high aspirations of transforming our communities to achieve our vision helping them to Live, Grow and Thrive Together.

We currently have a range of fantastic opportunities available within our Finance team, to support our continued growth as a Registered Provider.  As a result we are looking for a Management Accountant to work alongside our Financial Accountant and provide line management responsibilities for our 3 Accountants.

This role will manage the day to day operations of the Management Accounts team, and to support the Head of Finance in affirming the financial position of Salix Homes is accurately recorded and reported to Management, Board and Funders. 

The Management Accountant will provide direct management of the Accountants, including line management responsibilities, guaranteeing effective delegation, operations and work performance.

This role will also contribute to the development and improvement of financial information including all source systems and management information systems including the monthly management accounts pack.

You will have previous experience directly supervising and managing a small team, coupled with a high ability and skill to provide financial advice to a wide range of customers who have differing levels of knowledge and understanding of finance.

You will also have extensive knowledge of accounting regulations and previous experience in providing financial services that exceed regulatory requirements coupled with experience of Open Accounts.

This role will also interact with various other positions within the Finance team including; Transactional Team Leader; Accountants; Financial Accountant; Insurance Officer.
