Senior Group Accountant

A FTSE 100 organisation is looking for a driven Senior Group Accountant to work with senior executives and provide technical accounting guidance to the business.

The Senior Group Financial Accountant is a high profile role, acting as a key point of contact for technical IFRS support across group and business finance teams.

Responsibilities will include:

• Working with regional, country and group teams to provide technical IFRS accounting support
• Identifying technical issues affecting group finance strategy and presenting explanations and guidance to senior management
• Supporting the preparation of external group reporting and the audit process
• Ensuring compliance and control across the finance community

Professional and personal competencies:

• ACA/ICAEW qualified accountant (strong preference for Big 4) and strong academic record.
• Strong audit and technical accounting background with excellent and up to date IFRS knowledge.
• Experience auditing, or preparing group consolidated accounts strongly preferred.
• Experience in a global, listed business would be an advantage.
• A self-starter with energetic, inquisitive attitude.
