FP&A Analyst
Watford
Salary - £60,000 - £65,000 + benefits
Our client, a highly profitable and market leading organisation is currently looking to source an exceptionally driven and dynamic FP&A Analyst to join its ranks. This is an integral role in the business and requires a highly analytical and commercially aware individual to succeed in the role.
The successful FP&A Analyst will have a proven track record of working collaboratively with Senior Managers and Directors and will be able to demonstrate strong reporting skills and an impressive work ethic. You will present regularly to the Board and must convey professionalism and a highly analytical mindset in order to demonstrate true value adding at a senior level. You will be fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA) with at least 2 years PQE and a track record of success in a similar role.
Key duties:
-Support development of continuous business plan
-Production of annual budgets and forecasts for both financial and non-financial performance
-Detailed analysis of key performance drivers
-Liaising with cost consultants on a monthly basis to ensure that the financial management is in line with the business strategy
-Develop, implement and maintain an effective planning and analysis capability that will provide senior leadership with appropriate analytical tools to establish goals and measure performance
-Lead scenario modelling efforts for the development and growth of the portfolio
-Lead the strategic aspects of the annual operating plan and budget process
-Identify and monitor underlying drivers of cost variances between actual expenditure vs forecast/budget
-Collect and analyse financial information to support decision making
-Act as a financial expert in business decisions
-Analyse monthly P&L reports, identify key issues and communicate to Senior Managers
You will be reporting directly to the Financial Director and will be given the scope to work autonomously and truly play a pivotal role in the business moving forward. You will become a key partner within Finance and will be able to demonstrate strong communication and influencing skills.
You career to date will indicate consistency and an ability to add real value in a chosen role. Previous experience in property investments or investment appraisals is highly advantageous for the role, but with the biggest emphasis being on a strong analytical mindset, and a confident and proactive approach to work. The successful candidate will feel confident in a varied role, and will be happy getting involved in anything from the day to day analysis, to regular presentations at Board level.
