Robert Half are working on behalf of a leading Peterborough employer who are a market leader in their field. Having managed their way successfully through the last few years, they are now entering a period of sustained grow.
This role will require you to develop strong relationships across the wider Finance function based at the Shared Service Centre and you will be expected to gain a thorough understanding of the business processes & where necessary, identify potential improvements to current activities and processes. The role will require interaction with the P2P and C&C departments within the SSC and may require direct interaction with the SSC Project team and some UK travel may be required. Reporting directly to the Record to Report Manager, you will be responsible for 4 people and your main responsibilities will involve but not be limited to the following;
- Providing appropriate and timely financial reports covering various metrics as required by site management including monthly management accounts (P&L, B/S) and variance analysis (using SAP and BI)
- Supporting Group and Divisional reporting requirements (using HFM) Providing routine and ad hoc analysis as requested by site operations, Finance Business Partners, Division and Group Finance General bookkeeping and account reconciliations
- Driving the close process to ensure that reporting deadlines are maintained Identifying areas of improvement to facilitate a smarter close process
- Guiding, monitoring and being responsible for the work and performance of team members Providing or co-ordinating staff training and supporting the team to achieve excellent performance Supervise and motivate staff in the team
You will ideally be;
- Experience with ERP systems is essential. With specific working knowledge of SAP an advantage
- Qualified accountant, either CIMA, ACA or ACCA
- Strong communication skills across all levels of seniority - flexible but assertive Previous experience in a team management position required Excellent planning, organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to work with flexibility and to deadlines, initiate and implement change and become an integral part of the finance team
- An understanding of Group/Divisional reporting processes and accounting standards (IFRS), UK GAAP & US GAAP
- Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a high pressure environment
