Role:  Transaction Processing Manager – Ref 1213

Salary:  £33,600 - £42,000, per annum, plus excellent benefits

Location:  Birchwood, Warrington

Duration:  Permanent

We’re looking for someone to deliver a reliable, efficient and robust Purchase and Sales Ledger function on behalf of the whole of Your Housing Group in line with policies, procedures and timescales. In particular, this role will involve developing and producing performance indicators to monitor productivity and promote continuous improvement. This will include managing the credit control function ensuring that debtor balances are cleared in a timely manner as well as taking responsibility for the accuracy of the Group financial ledgers in respect of the PL and SL activity. You will actively pursue continuous improvement and take responsibility for the delivery and effective use of our E-payable applications and ensure all processes and procedures are up to date and fit for purpose.

You will be able to demonstrate extensive experience of previous managerial experience within a busy Transaction Processing Department. You will have strong communication skills and display initiative in the work you do. The ability to train, motivate and coach is also a key component of this role as is the ability to manage customer expectations and contribute towards service delivery.

The essential requirements for this role are:

  • Solid experience of working in a Transaction Processing Department, Knowledge of P2P and related processes / technologies.
  • Successful relationship-building with Finance team members and YHG business
  • Ability to communicate effectively and courteously both orally and in writing, Self motivation with an ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to train, motivate, coach & give direction to junior staff to develop their potential.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workloads to meet deadlines. Able to critically appraise detailed information.
  • Willingness to embrace and develop new skills, look for process improvement initiatives.
  • Able to manage customer expectations and contribute to service delivery
