Finance Manager - Business Partner

REED Finance is currently looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner to work within a Central Finance Team for a well known business in East Bristol. Reporting to the Financial Controller and Senior Finance Manager you will be responsible for supporting senior stakeholders within the business.

The Finance Business Partner will be involved in a wide range of financial and commercial activities. As Finance Business Partner, you will provide professional capacity to the Finance department and will be the day to day finance contact point for Senior Stakeholders within the business.

This will involve providing professional financial input into the preparation of monthly management accounts and budgets. You will also work with business managers and directors to improve financial planning, reporting and provide support to the resolution of financial issues.

Responsibilities:
- Act as the main finance contact for various stakeholders
- Provide professional financial advice, challenge and support the business managers, using agile and intelligent application of professional financial skills.
- Support the development of financial strategy and plans, including medium term plans and annual budgets.
- Support the development of the strategic plan
- Lead on the production of detailed monthly financial statements, including detailed inquiry and interrogation of the figures and results to ensure figures and balances are accurate
- Identify and escalate financial issues to the Senior Finance Manager
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of systems of internal financial control, reporting any issues and implementing solutions and improvements as required.
- Perform specified month end processes
- Assist the Senior Finance Manager and the Financial Controller in ensuring the ongoing effectiveness of the Finance Team
- Provide professional financial management support.
- Actively contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of all systems of internal financial control, including procurement, payroll and other processes.
- Provide training, development and support on financial practice throughout the business
- Prepare and contribute to other statutory and ad-hoc financial returns as required.
- Prepare advice and ad-hoc reporting for the Senior Finance Manager, Executive Team, and Board as required.

Person specification:
- Fully ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified
- Have previous experience of financial management in a medium sized company
- Have excellent IT skills including the use of MS Office
- Well developed written and verbal communication skills, and be able to influence others.
