Financial Controller

The Land Trust has a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Controller this is an important role within the Trust reporting to the Director of Finance. The FC is responsible for financial accounting and reporting for The Land Trust and its emerging group.

You will be a highly proactive qualified accountant able to establish strong credibility, trust and inspire confidence. You know the critical importance of maintaining strong financial controls and systems that are designed to deliver the right information at the right time in the right manner.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Timely preparation of monthly and Quarterly management accounts.
  • Reforecasts and reporting of key financial information.
  • Management of KPI’s and driving the delivery of The Trusts strategy for growth.
  • Production of annual statutory accounts for external audit.
  • Implement the transition to the new charity SORP / FRS102
  • Work closely with the Trusts Executive Leadership Team in producing annual and longer term budgets.

You will manage and motivate the financial accounting team to reach their potential.

Your colleagues will look to you for trusted financial information, support and advice.

Must have a good understanding of Charity accounting / reporting and a full working knowledge of charitable finance regulations.

Must have a recognised senior accountancy qualification – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or other equivalent.
