Group Financial Controller

This PE backed, market leading multi-site consumer facing business has delivered consistent, rapid growth over the past 3 years. It has done so through innovation within its field that has created a very effective and profitable business model.

The business continues to have aggressive expansion plans and is opening sites across the UK. As such it is seeking to strengthen its management team by recruiting a strong Group Financial Controller.

In this business critical position and reporting to the CFO, you will;

• Create and enhance a strong and robust financial controls environment, analysing the current state, identifying improvement opportunities and executing efficiencies
• Own the development of the financial systems, creating the methodology to maximise its functionality
• Oversee the delivery of the production of financial and management information
• Lead a team, identifying skills gaps and coaching individuals to their maximum potential
• Own the budgeting and forecasting cycles, driving improved commercial thinking across the business
• Lead reviews to assess contract performance of key finance suppliers and drive improvements
• Business partner senior, operational stakeholders, creating genuine value added relationships whilst providing insightful and business critical analysis to aid business decision making
• Provide essential support on ad-hoc projects including investment cases and corporate development activities
• As a credible and emotionally intelligent qualified accountant you will have first class communications skills and demonstrate high levels of intellectual ability. You will easily build cross functional relationships and display a track record of adding value. Equally comfortable enhancing the financial reporting environment as you are business partnering Senior Management, you will come from a fast paced, consumer facing background.
