Unicef

Deputy Chief Finance Officer

London

£48,572 - £56,781 per annum inclusive

Right now, children are in danger. They face violence, disease, hunger, and the chaos of war and disaster. This is wrong and it has to change. Unicef already ensures more of the world’s children are fed, vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws, policies and customs to help protect children than anyone else in history. Unicef UK raises money and campaigns to change children’s lives – doing whatever it takes until every child is safe.

The Deputy Chief Financial Officer (DCFO) is a new role which will support the Chief Financial Officer and play a key role in the development and maturation of financial forecasting, planning and business intelligence systems, and act as a key interface between Finance and the other functions within Unicef UK.

ACA or other CCAB qualified, and with substantial experience in a senior financial leadership role, you will have successfully provided strategic direction to your team, ensuring all members have the skills, knowledge and resources they need to be effective. Anticipating challenges that could affect our work, you will be able to make sound judgements to mitigate risk and ensure financial and ethical integrity.

Closing date: 5pm, Tuesday 13 October 2015.

Interview date: Thursday 22 October 2015.

We welcome applications from a diverse range of people, respecting and drawing on different perspectives, skills, experience and knowledge.

The successful candidate will be required to apply for a Basic Disclosure from Disclosure Scotland. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.
