Your new company
A small local charitable organisation situated near to Watford is currently looking to appoint an experienced but hands on qualified accountant. Whilst the site forms part of a larger Charity with a small number of sites across the UK there is very much a small company culture to this site.
Your new role
Working directly with the general manager and with dotted line reporting to the Regional Financial Controller you will deal with all aspects of managing the financial operations for the Watford site. Your will take responsibility for the month end closure, production of the monthly management accounts pack, budget monitoring and reporting on variances, responsibility for the day to day management of the ledgers including management of the finance administrator.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or CIPFA) and happy to be and get involved with all aspects of the financial operations from processing invoices where needed through to the month end, even year end. Excellent communications skills are essential as you will have extensive day to day contact with non finance colleagues and be in a position to answer all levels of enquiry with ease. Charity sector experience would be advantageous but not essential.

If you are interested in the longer term position this assignment will be covering a vacancy and the post holder will be considered for the permanent post. Alternatively you can provide a much valued service with the benefit of a 2 week hand over until a permanent appointment has been secured.
