An opportunity exists for an Oracle EPM Systems Developer to support an integral continuous improvement project within Rolls-Royce in Derby. Applying your specialist technical knowledge of Hyperion Planning, you will drive and develop the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management toolset to support the step change in business process being driven by the project. We need someone who has an appetite for driving innovation and change and be able to understand the strategic relevance of each toolset to lever further business benefit.

The role will require a specialist technical knowledge of the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) toolset including:
You will be required to have specialist technical knowledge of the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) toolset including:
- Hyperion Planning and Essbase.
- Hyperion Financial Data Quality Manager Enterprise Edition (FDMEE).
- Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
- Hyperion Financial Reporting.
- And ideally also have knowledge of:
- Oracle Data Relationship Manager (DRM).
- Oracle Data Relationship Governance (DRG).
Key Accountabilities:
- To define the high level EPM design to support the revised planning requirements.
- To define the detailed Hyperion Planning application requirements to model the business, satisfy business process and optimise design.
- To trial and build the required Hyperion Planning applications including rules, metadata, task lists, security, reports and automated data loads.
- To define and support the testing and go-live of the new tools.
- To support and liaise with IT to help translate any functional requirements that have implications for system install and configuration.
- To help define and implement on-going support tasks and governance processes to maintain the integrity of the solution post go-live.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience of HFM version 11.1.2.3 or above.
- Automation batch scripting, and experience with ODI/FDM/FDMEE.
- Performance tuning knowledge of the EPM toolkit.
- Proven application content experience including core application set-up and dimension design, core attribute settings, scripting optimisation, workflow and security, Web Form and Smartview design, reporting design, integration including inter platform and source data and training delivery.
- Be highly IT literate with a number of different IT systems and applications at all levels within the technology stack. Knowledge of any of the following technologies would be beneficial: VB, MDX, SQL, SOA, OLAP.
- Candidates should possess good communication skills, have a confident and flexible approach, and be able to work to meet tight deadlines.
- The ability to interact effectively with finance and business stakeholders at all levels.
- Have a logical and analytical mind-set and be able to demonstrate strong problem solving skills.
- Experience of working with implementation partners on delivering Hyperion projects.
- A professional accounting background and a good appreciation of the role of the finance function would also be preferential. An in-depth knowledge of the Oracle EPM toolset and in particular Hyperion Planning and HFM and will be able to demonstrate several years’ experience in multiple implementations across the full product lifecycle for large organisations.
