Project Accountant - International - Healthy Charity - £35-45k

A leading health charity is seeking an experienced charity Project Accountant with international experience for an important new permanent role.

The role will involve:

-Financial Management of a crucial programme funded by a large corporate entity

-Support reporting processes for ongoing projects by the charity’s overseas country members

-Review and report on project budgets and progress

-Business Partnering with internal stakeholders

-New grant selection, agreements and reporting.

-Administering transactional procedures and compliance for projects

-Ad-hoc financial support to the Head of Finance including annual financial statements, assisting with Management Accounts and reviewing grant agreements.

Candidate requirements:

-Previous experience in a Project Accounting for an international charity/project

-Grant reporting and application reviewing experience

-Ideally qualified Accountant – ACA / ACCA / CIMA

-Exposure to a multi-currency accounting package

-Excellent spreadsheet skills, Excel

-An interest and understanding of International Development

-Knowledge of Charity SORP

-Excellent communication skills and culturally sensitive
