Finance Manager-
A leading organisation in Reading is looking to strengthen their finance function through the appointment of senior finance manager. Reporting to the financial director and working closely with the financial controller, you will be a key member of the leadership team.
This all-encompassing role will manage all aspects of finance within the financial accounting department, but will also include project work and involvement with future M&A activities.
Typical duties will include;
- Deputising for the Finance Director as required. As a deputy for the Finance Director, you should be comfortable in a senior role and be able to use your financial and commercial knowledge to work effectively with colleagues. * You will often represent Finance with Trustees and external parties and may attend trustee committee meetings. In particular, they will be responsible for servicing the Group Audit Committee and attend all these meetings. * Special work, as required. The CFA could be involved in merger or acquisition due diligence, or other investigations or reporting. * Line managing the financial accountants and oversee their work in producing the accounts and maintaining the ledgers. * Overseeing financial reporting, including statutory reporting, tax and other returns and reporting for the regulators. * Responsible for the internal control environment and the operation of these controls. * Line managing the Credit Control/Income team and the Purchase Ledger Team. * Treasury and cash management - ensuring that cash is effectively managed.
You will be a qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant with extensive technical accounting experience, but with a commercial head on your shoulders. In addition, you will have experience of managing teams ideally within the not for profit sector.
