Financial and Commercial Analyst

We are recruiting for a Financial and Commercial Analyst to track, analyse and interpret financial, and other information, to support the performance management

Responsibilities will include:

* Acting as an effective business partner to service functions, ensuring accurate budgeting, tracking and analysis of costs
* Variance and trend analysis on the trading account and balance sheet
* Ensuring accurate and timely oversight of the control landscape across the business including internal and external audit actions and progress
* Collating a view of the risk landscape at business and divisional level, and surfacing new or changes to risks or their risk likelihood/impact
* Reviewing reporting notes to ensure adherence to Group Tax, Treasury and Accounting policies and standards
* Representing and undertaking ad-hoc systems and accounting projects
* Working effectively as part of the OE finance team, the OE division and also across the wider OUP group

To be considered for this role you will be fully qualified - ACCA, CIMA or ACA

* 3+ years' experience in a finance function (commercial or Practice)
* Strong systems experience including GL and advanced excel
* Numerate, analytical and logical problem-solver
* Confident, credible and persuasive dealing with all organizational levels
* A self-starter and good team player
* Organised and able to manage a complex workload with conflicting deadlines and multiple stakeholders

Desirable but not essential:
* SAP and management information systems experience

Salary up to £40k plus extensive benefits
