A Finance Officer is required for an organisation located in Port Talbot for an initial 6 month position.

The client is a large organisation located in Port Talbot
Description
- To ensure that Cash transactions are processed in accordance with set policies and procedures, and within strict timescales in order that the organisation can provide information for set statutory returns.
- To investigate enquiries and queries which may be of a complex or sensitive nature. Dealing with customers and other external organisations, to provide assistance and advice as required.
- To support the Cash and Bank Reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner as set down by the Finance Manager for all Bank Accounts
- To undertake a number of routine checks in relation to Funds Held to ensure that the relevant Financial Control Procedures are being complied with.
- Inputs and processes financial information ensuring that maximum income is generated in accordance with set policies and procedures.
- To liaise with Teams and provide training and support when necessary. To ensure that work is completed within set timescales.
- To work as a member of the Corporate Accounting Team maintaining a flexible approach, including the ability to cover other team member's tasks as and when required by the Finance Manager (Accounting)
- To participate in ongoing review of quality standards and Continuous Improvement. To offer suggestions and assist in the implementation of agreed changes.
