Finance Manager
BTG Recruitment has a fantastic Finance Manager opportunity to work for one of the UK's leading charities to join their team in Manchester. We are looking for someone who can manage the day to day operations of the successful local charity.
The ideal candidate will need experience of financial procedures, budgets and forecast, manage budgets and have excellent communication skills. This role will report up to the Chief Executive and will be working closely with the Board of Trustees and Senior Management team
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare, manage and track the charities annual budgets and forecasts
- Be the key point of contact with external auditors and ensure financial policies and procedures are consistent
- Have experience in producing year end accounts
- Oversee the management of the companies' accounts and prepare regular, financial account reports for the board
- Prepare budget data for potential new services or ventures for department managers to review. Participate in budget meetings with Trustees and managers as required
- Update and reconcile key balance sheet accounts monthly
- Review and develop financial processes and systems. Provide support and training on Excel and finance systems and procedures
Skills required:
- You will be a qualified Accountant or QBE
- You will have previous experience of working in the charitable sector
- You will possess strong PC skills and must be competent in using Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience of Charity Fund Accounting, SORP and SAGE is desirable.
- You must be able to work well under pressure and manage priorities.
- You will have good interpersonal skills with a confident ability to communicate results of analysis to senior managers and directors.
