Our client is looking for an interim head of business partnering who will have full responsibility for the financial management of the business support function. This includes production of the monthly management accounts and leading an effective team of business partners. You are expected to produce monthly packs for the board detailing budgets, forecasts and key KPI'S.

Description
The post requires the following:
- To lead and co-ordinate the work of the business support team in conjunction with the finance director.
- Support the production of monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts and regulatory returns.
- To provide ad hoc finance reports to enable senior management to exercise financial management of the charity
- To manage a team of 6 business partners and support the finance director where necessary
- To provide support and input into the charities wide business cases, costing of activities and ad hoc requests.
- To support improvement in financial reporting and budgeting processes, financial management and stakeholder relationships.
- To support the Finance Director in managing the restructuring of roles and responsibilities as part of the current Finance restructure - be prepared for the scope of the role to change significantly during this time
Profile
The ideal candidate will have experience of the following:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Significant experience in a business support / financial management position in a large, complex and diverse public or private sector organisation.
- Substantial experience managing a large team
- Experience communicating and building effective relationships with people from non-financial backgrounds.
- Experience making changes to current processes and procedure, delivering improved performance and service
- Experience designing and building complex financial models.
- Budgeting, forecasting and long term planning experience
Job Offer
The post is likely to last 6 months minimum with a possible extension. The long term plan is to get a permanent individual in place. £300-400 per day to the candidate.
