One of the most prestigious brand names in the arts sector is seeking an Accounting Services Manager to lead a transactional team of 11 and to ensure there is a robust financial control framework for the general ledger.
You will have complete oversight of the transaction processing services, including Accounts Payable and Purchasing, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Cashiers, and charity finance. As well as the day-to-day running of each of these teams you will also have responsibility for the control and compliance activities (including review and completion of balance sheet reconciliations; monitoring implementation of internal/external audit recommendations) to ensure the safe stewardship of the organisation's assets through the implementation and monitoring of a sound control environment; and to contribute to the effectiveness and development of all financial systems and processes.
We are therefore looking for an experienced transactions accounting manager who has hands-on skills in accounts payable, receivable and cash management. An accounting qualification is desirable but not essential, and knowledge of charity finance would also be beneficial.
The successful candidate will have strong systems skills (preferably with SUN) and will be a confident leader who has a good track record of mentoring and coaching individuals at team leader level.
