Part-time Financial Controller

As part of the Senior Management team, this role will report into the Chief Executive. This role will provide a variety of financial services to the senior finance team, CEO and Directors. The successful candidate will ensure smooth running of all financial functions.

My client is a successful and expanding community owned social enterprise based in Wokingham.

Description

Ensure all finance functions are met on an on-going basis including:

• Debtor and creditor management
• Weekly and monthly payroll including tax, NI and pension payments
• VAT payment and recovery
• Review and continual improvement of financial processes

Provide comprehensive financial reporting to senior managers and directors:

• Track performance against agreed budget and reporting variances
• Reporting of finances falling outside of defined parameters with corrective actions
• Risk analysis and reporting

Man-management of the finance function:

• Annual staff appraisals
• Informal weekly team meetings
• Formal monthly team meetings
• Recruitment and performance management

Definition, negotiation and agreement of the annual budget:

• Build and present budgets
• Monitor performance against budget

Provide in depth financial business management advice:

• Ensure high quality, consistent and robust financial management
• Understanding and analysis of major bids from a finance perspective
• Provide input to the one year and there year strategic plan

Maintain robust and conformant financial management

Profile

Fully qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent with at least 5 years experience in a senior finance function, 2 years of experience of finance within a charity sector preferred. Advanced skills in Excel including pivot tables, VLookups and advanced data analysis along with a good working knowledge of finance systems.

Job Offer

£40,000 FTE plus benefits.
