As part of the Senior Management team, this role will report into the Chief Executive. This role will provide a variety of financial services to the senior finance team, CEO and Directors. The successful candidate will ensure smooth running of all financial functions.

Description
Ensure all finance functions are met on an on-going basis including:
- Debtor and creditor management
- Weekly and monthly payroll including tax, NI and pension payments
- VAT payment and recovery
- Review and continual improvement of financial processes
Provide comprehensive financial reporting to senior managers and directors:
- Track performance against agreed budget and reporting variances
- Reporting of finances falling outside of defined parameters with corrective actions
- Risk analysis and reporting
Man-management of the finance function:
- Annual staff appraisals
- Informal weekly team meetings
- Formal monthly team meetings
- Recruitment and performance management
Definition, negotiation and agreement of the annual budget:
- Build and present budgets
- Monitor performance against budget
Provide in depth financial business management advice:
- Ensure high quality, consistent and robust financial management
- Understanding and analysis of major bids from a finance perspective
- Provide input to the one year and there year strategic plan
Maintain robust and conformant financial management
Profile
Fully qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent with at least 5 years experience in a senior finance function, 2 years of experience of finance within a charity sector preferred. Advanced skills in Excel including pivot tables, VLookups and advanced data analysis along with a good working knowledge of finance systems.
Job Offer
£40,000 FTE plus benefits.
