World-leading and multi-platform media group are looking for a newly-qualified accountant to provide financial and strategic support to the Head of Commercial Finance and the Commercial Senior Management Team. Key Responsibilities:

• Business Partnering with key finance and non-finance across the business to develop and manage strategic initiatives.
• Provide the Commercial department with financial and commercial support to continuously improve financial decision making.
• Influence and challenge stakeholders in order to ensure efficient and effective use of budget.
• Support the commercial finance team in regular planning, budgeting and forecasting of revenue and costs.
• Review all detailed budgets and forecasts compiled by the Commercial Finance Team
• Ensure forecasting processes are accurate and streamlined across the team, in addition to keeping key relevant stakeholders involved
• Understand and challenge the underlying planning assumptions that support all budgets and forecasts.
• Continual review of processes in order to keep all relevant stakeholders engaged and up to date on performance and future plans.
• Manage Weekly Flash forecast reporting process.
• Review weekly and monthly statistics analysis, used by Senior Management Team.
• Prepare and review the departmental management accounting information and associated reports ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the information
• Detailed departmental annual budget preparation and any long term forecast reporting as required.
• Lead and develop a small team

Key Requirements:

• CIMA / ACA or ACCA qualified
• Post qualified experience, with Industry experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience desirable
• Demonstrates a proactive attitude, with desire to succeed
• Proven track record in achieving strict deadlines and delivering results in a challenging and constantly evolving part of the business
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with other members of the team, senior managers, exec members and wider stakeholder groups within the business.
• Advanced excel skills
