Commercial Finance Manager

An international, PE backed Retailer, owning some of the high streets leading brands are looking to recruit a Commercial Finance Manager.  With an unrivalled track record of growth throughout the last 5 years, the group continues to grow organically and through acquisition, which has led them to hire this newly created opportunity.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the Corporate Development team to support  all brands across the UK and international markets.

Reporting to the Group Head of Corporate Finance, the successful candidate will have a broad remit supporting the business from a finance perspective and will have access to all levels of seniority in the Company from the CEO to the departmental heads. This is a hands-on, commercial role, with a large degree of independence, and a great opportunity to contribute to the company’s future development. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Ownership of the Group’s budget / forecast model
• Preparation of forecasts and budgets, including presentations and all supporting schedules and analysis as required
• Monitoring spend vs budget and working closely with business heads across the UK and International markets, as well as liaising with external suppliers as appropriate to influence spending levels
• Setting detailed cost budgets on department level

To succeed in this role you will be a Qualified Accountant, with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience. You will need to be a great relationship builder and influencer with a background of managing and inspiring multiple stakeholders. Being quality focused and possessing excellent modelling skills, is essential, coupled with excellent commercial acumen. Retail experience would be highly advantageous.
