Our client based in Welwyn Garden City - Hertfordshire are looking for a Finance Manager to work for an exciting and growing international specialist components business.
As Finance Manager you will be responsible for the following; To ensure accurate and timely processing all supplier and customer invoices/credit notes; payment of all suppliers in a timely manner with notifications sent; maximise creditor balance without disrupting supply of goods; maintain and monitor customer credit limits including authorisation within agreed limits; monitor and chase outstanding debts from customers; issue weekly lists of customers and suppliers on stop; resolve all supplier and customer invoice queries in a timely manner; processing of employee expense forms as required; run the company payroll including making payments and year end processing; download bank statements and calculate daily cash availability; ensure import/export documentation and duty payments are maintained; maintain cashbooks and reconciliations to bank accounts; maintain General Ledger; ensure statutory payments (e.g. PAYE/NI/Corp Tax/VAT) are up to date; ensure company records are kept accurately and up to date (e.g. accruals, prepayments, invoices etc); administration of company insurance; maintain fixed asset register and reconcile. General Ledger; administration of credit card payments; administration of day to day banking, including Invoice Discounting. Management Reporting - VAT/Intrastat/EC Sales Lists; Publish management accounts within 15 days of month end; Annual return filing; Monthly reconciliations of key control accounts; Ensure statutory books are maintained. People Management Review and monitor skills matrix in the Finance area; review training records and areas for skills improvement; operate system of appraisals and feedback; encourage and motivate staff to achieve high service levels and promote continuous improvement.
