We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join our team at Winnersh Triangle. The role will be to support our Senior Finance Manager for Europe in ensuring deadlines are met consistently. You will be given some specific account responsibility and will ensure that results are accurate and in compliance with GAAP. The role is also responsible for managing compliance and reporting for the European entities (France and The Netherlands). In addition the role will provide support for European payroll and Tax.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and reconciliation of VAT/ESL returns for submission and payment. Support for the European Payroll Specialist in the administration of the European payrolls. Ensuring reported business results are accurate and in compliance with GAAP. Completion of balance sheet reconciliations. Management of prepayments, accruals and provisions and related entries, managing and maintaining a Fixed Asset ledger and reviewing bank entries and providing support for bank account reconciliations. The role will also provide support in relation to tax and permanent establishments and support during the annual audit processes. There is also the opportunity to support ad hoc projects.
About You
Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written and the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner. They must be highly organized and able to proactively multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical. In addition candidates must meet the following criteria:
AAT qualified or a part qualified accountant.
Experience of working for a US company.
Ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of general ledger accounting.
Good knowledge of Excel.
European experience particularly with France and The Netherlands is helpful.
Some experience of payroll and tax knowledge is strongly desirable.
Great Plains is preferred but not essential.
