Group Payroll Manager
Oxford, Oxfordshire
c £40,000 - £50,000 DOE
The Activate Learning group comprises secondary, further and higher education, apprenticeship and workforce training, consultancy, international, commercial business and social enterprise. These learning organisations are united by a common purpose - to transform lives through learning.
We are now seeking an experienced payroll manager who will be responsible for managing the operation of our 5 payrolls which pay around 1500 staff each month.
The successful candidate will manage a team of 3 people who will
- Administer and run all payrolls across the Group in accordance with operating procedures and deadlines.
- Process starters and leavers, ensuring that details are accurately entered into the payroll system.
- Process pay/expense claims and statutory/ voluntary deductions in accordance with the authorisation procedures.
- Complete detailed checks to ensure the accuracy of the payroll.
- Answer queries resolving problems and issues promptly, delivering excellent customer service standards.
- Ensure and maintain strict confidentiality over employee data and information, ensuring full compliance with Data Protection Act provision.
The successful candidate will have experience of operating an HR Management Information and Payroll System, ideally iTrent, and some experience of administration of final salary pension schemes, ideally Local Government Pension Scheme and Teacher’s Pensions Scheme.
