Financial Accountant

Robertson Bell Finance is working with a large, prestigious national charity to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their high performing team. This internationally renowned organisation does fantastic work across the UK and this role is a great opportunity to join their team in a vital role at an exciting time of change.

Key deliverables of this position include the timely production of the statutory accounts and consistent management of the reporting process to bring down the time spent in completing the year end. With a collaborative approach to liaising with other branches of the organisation, the Financial Accountant will assist finance staff across the branches of the organisation in the preparation of their own accounts and will fine tune this process. With a constant focus on process improvement and increasing efficiency, the Financial Accountant will ensure that finance is as effective a department as possible. This will enable Finance to take a proactive and supportive role in the organisation, involved in new projects right at the point of inception.

With extensive experience in reporting and preparing the statutory accounts, the ideal candidate will be a qualified CCAB (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) accountant with a demonstrable history in process improvement and taking control of the year end process. Ideally with experience in consolidation group accounts, the ideal candidate will be someone able to take on this function and run it effectively. The successful candidate will be interested in the wider organisation and assisting on projects and contributing towards the advancement of the organisation as a whole.
