London

Group Finance Analyst – Competitive Salary DOE plus benefits, pension, private healthcare, annual leave and free onsite parking

Bestway Group has grown to become a multinational conglomerate with investments across the wholesale, banking, cement, financial services, real estate and health care sectors.

In order to support future growth and increase the capabilities of our finance department, we now have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, driven and intelligent analyst.

The successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to gain substantial exposure and work closely with the Group Head of Finance, assisting the Group CEO and Wholesale/Pharmacy Finance Directors.

The Analyst will be responsible for liaising with the management team of the UK subsidiaries, i.e. Bestway Wholesale and Well Pharmacy to keep the Group CEO apprised of performance and strategic development.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Subsidiary Entities (Bestway Wholesale & Well Pharmacy)

  • The analyst will be responsible for being aware of developments in each business and act as a liaison between the subsidiary business and Group Head of Finance
  • Analysts will perform tasks such as;
    • monitor monthly performance, 
    • Prepare quarterly benchmarking
    • Review capital proposals received from subsidiaries prior to passing on to Group CEO
    • Reviewing annual budgets and forecasts of subsidiary entities
    • Attending subsidiary entity board meetings with Group CEO and monitoring and chase up all action points agreed
    • Performing competitor benchmarking for subsidiary entities
    • Reviewing Group cash flow impact of subsidiary entity performance

Bestway (Holdings) Limited/Bestway UK HoldCo Limited/Bestway Securities Limited

  • Producing and analysing monthly management accounts for the above companies
  • Completing monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliations for the above companies
  • Preparing annual budgets and forecasts for the aforementioned entities
  • Preparing quarterly consolidated accounts for Bestway (Holdings) Limited
  • Producing Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Bank Covenant reporting within agreed timescales. This includes;
    • Liaising with Bestway Wholesale and Well Pharmacy to ensure consolidated information can be reported on time,
    • Producing financial stats showing actual performance v budget and actual performance v prior year, 
    • Providing the banks with commentary surrounding above performance, 
    • Produce quarterly cash flow forecasts for the banks 

The successful candidate will be responsible for all group treasury/loans as well as manage the audit process liaising with external auditors to produce group consolidated accounts. 

You will have exposure to VAT and corporation tax working with external advisors and need to keep up to date with accounting/tax developments.

To take on this exciting and rare opportunity you will be a qualified accountant preferably from a FMCG or Pharmaceutical background, an excellent communicator who has the ability to question the detail, teamed with strong leadership skills to coordinate on group reporting. 

You will have knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload in order to meet deadlines.
