Legal Entity Financial Accountant
Circa £30-40k

Working for us
Our reputation as a world leader in offshore drilling is built on our people. And working in Accounting, you’ll ensure we continue to set higher standards for the industry.
We have a wealth of knowledge and experience, employing over 7,000 people, representing 75 nationalities, across five continents. Our entrepreneurial spirit, robust processes and total commitment to safety mean we always look out for one another. Right now, we’re looking for talented and ambitious people, and we’re offering impressive rewards.
The role
As Legal Entity Financial Accountant, you’ll maintain our financial records and deliver reports for assigned legal entities/financial processes in line with US GAAP and Seadrill policies. You’ll report to the Legal Entity Accountant Lead, but we’ll need you to manage your own workload to deliver these accurately and to assigned deadlines. As well as sound technical accounting knowledge, we’ll expect you to have a proactive approach in finding new ways to improve your performance.
Rewards
Setting the standard in drilling is as much about what we do for our people as what they do for us. So we’ve put together a rewards and benefits package to attract and retain top talent, with a competitive base salary, and attractive benefits. As a global company, we can offer the advantages of cutting edge technology, opportunities in many countries, and excellent training and development.
About you
You hold a Bachelor’s degree as a minimum, and have, or are working towards, a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). We’re looking for someone with at least two years in financial accounting or audit, preferably within a large, multinational company. As you’ll be dealing with complex information, you’ll need perfect attention to detail, whatever systems and software you’re using. You’ll have used ERP in the past (it helps if these include Oracle and Hyperion) and we’d like you to have a working knowledge of US GAAP, although IFRS is acceptable. If you can combine all of this with strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly using Excel, we can offer a promising career with the world’s leading offshore drilling contractor.
