Interim International Group Financial Controller

Robertson Bell Finance is working alongside a prestigious global charity to find an experienced Interim International Financial Controller to join their high performing team on an interim basis. The role is due to last for a period of 10 months.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Head of Financial Accounting will manage a team of 9 (4 of which are direct reports) and will be responsible for leading the year end process and working collaboratively alongside the external auditors. Overseeing the pension and payroll for almost 1000 employees, the Head of Financial Accounting will assume total responsibility for the financial reporting for this organisation with expenditure over $1billion. Playing a key role in agreeing the timeline for the annual audit process, the Head of Financial Accounting will agree the timeline for the audit and the scope, working closely with auditors to ensure that this process is as beneficial as possible.

The successful candidate will be a qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) accountant with a strong history of leading the Financial Accounting process for a large international organisation. With first rate communication skills, the International Group Financial Controller will be able to influence and direct both a high performing team and budget holders across the organisation. Equally capable of communicating complex financial information to both financial and non-financial professionals, have experience managing a team and maximising the efficiency of the financial reporting function.
