Deputy Finance Director

A Deputy Finance Director job role for a not-for-profit organisation based in Aylesbury paying up to £70,000

I am currently working exclusively with a successful local not-for-profit organisation who offer quality services throughout the Buckinghamshire area - they are recruiting for a brand new and integral finance job role to join their team in the Aylesbury office.

Your new role
This job position reports straight into the Finance Director and combines a high level of business partnering with some technical accounting responsibilities.

Job responsibilities:

• Working closely with the Finance Director in providing and developing high-quality management information to the business
• Ownership of the production of annual statutory accounts
• Liaising with external auditors
• Ownership of the internal audit programme
• Responsibility of the annual budget preparation
• Producing quarterly P&L forecasts and monthly cash flow forecasts
• Business partnering with site managers and non-finance departments
• Providing financial information relevant to new business opportunities
• Ad-hoc project work
• Deputising for the Director of Finance & Resources when required

What you'll need to succeed
- Must be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant
- Good interpersonal skills and confidence communicating up to CEO level
- Experience managing people would be useful
- Enthusiasm in making finance central to the development of the business
- A passion for the industry and improving the services they provide
- A progressive attitude to your career
- Experience in conducting audits
- Understanding of technical accounting requirements for registered charities
- Full clean driving license and use of a car for work purposes
