This is achieved by offering a first-class recruitment service alongside offering personal and professional support to both candidates and employers. This life-changing organisation helps women to access employment, and supports them to become role models to their families, become financially autonomous and face the world with confidence. This role represents an opportunity to join an increasingly authoritative voice on what works to help women ex-offenders lead crime-free lives and turn their lives around.

The Head of Finance and Operations will assume the responsibility for producing the annual budget and running the year end process. Bringing together these duties and overseeing the payroll, the Head of Finance and Operations is a pivotal strategic position that will play a key role in directing and facilitating the sustainable growth and deepen the impact of the organisation. The key financial contact for the Board, the Head of Finance and Operations will be responsible for producing relevant financial reports and analysis and will be directly involved in key decision making to ensure the long term development and ongoing success of the organisation. Being the number one finance position, the role will lead on the financial planning and management of financial and operational risk, including developing mitigating strategies. You will need to clearly communicate financial standards and guidelines to non-financial staff and external stakeholders.

The Operational side of this role will include overseeing the management and analysis of key performance data through the capture, analysis and reporting of information as well as managing the day to day relationship with the external IT provider, the landlord and professional advisers, acting as the point of contact. Responsible for managing a small team, the Head of Finance and Operations will be both hands-on and strategic. To be successful in the role, you need to be highly personable and both technically and emotionally capable.

The successful candidate will be a qualified (CCAB) accountant with a proactive outlook and a real passion for the charity sector. With strong experience both leading the financial accounting function and the budgeting and forecasting function, the ideal candidate will be excited about the opportunity to contribute strategically to the growth of this organisation. Liaising with contacts and stakeholders across the organisation, excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

This role offers a great opportunity for someone coming from either a charity or commercial background to join a growing organisation in a number one role. It offers the successful candidate the chance to gain invaluable experience of overseeing the whole finance function of a fast paced organisation as well as assuming broader operational and strategic responsibilities. This experience is vital for someone looking further down the line to be a Financial Director and offers the successful candidate the chance to grow and develop with the organisation.
