My client, a Big 4 Firm are growing their Extended Assurance offering in the North and are wanting to attract risk assurance professionals who are keen to develop a career in a consulting firm.
They are looking for:
- Professionals who have a strong background in financial services. Candidates should have experience of working within a bank or other financial services firm, either in compliance, risk and / or internal audit. Specifically looking for people with particular experience of conduct and /or prudential risk management.
What you will do:
- Work on the execution of a variety of assignments across a broad range of clients in the Financial Services sector. Examples of recent projects include CASS remediation work, reviews of risk management frameworks, assessment of regulatory required productions (e.g. ICAAP / ILAAP documents) and supporting firms with their implementation of upcoming regulation (e.g. Senior Managers Regime / CRD IV);
- Have a keen interest and understanding of the UK regulatory environment (PRA / FCA), including the objectives of the Regulators and how this will impact our clients;
- Work in teams, with responsibility for the overall execution of smaller projects and / or individual components of larger projects, under the guidance and direction of Managers, Directors and Partners;
- Be flexible in your working style to encompass working both in the office, as well as client site, with preparedness to travel;
Desired Skills & Experience:
- A relevant professional qualification would be preferred (e.g. accountancy, treasury, regulatory or risk management);
- External audit or internal controls / audit or risk management / compliance experience;
- Background in financial services, preferably working for a financial services institution either in industry with a blue chip employer or through a secondment in practice;
- Particular industry specialism experience preferably in banking, insurance or investment management;
- Experience of interpreting, understanding and responding to UK regulation through your current / previous role.
