We are now seeking a Finance Manager to join our team here in London on a 12 month fixed term basis. 

Aims of the Job:

The CEE Media Networks and Distribution Finance team is responsible for Financial Planning & Analysis, commercial support and collating the annual budget and quarterly forecasts for Media Distribution, Disney Channels and Disney Media + (Ad Sales and Promotions) across 16 CEE countries including Poland, Romania, Czech, Hungary, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Balkans.

The Finance Manager supports the Finance Director in all areas to drive a value-add approach to the Finance team’s activities within the business. Promotes efficient development & delivery of timely and accurate financial information to all stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring all key deliverables are agreed with stakeholders in all segments (format, timeline, submission, etc.): Quarterly forecast cycles, Quarterly close, 5 Year Plan, Annual Budget.
  • Reviewing & analysis of revenue & cost submissions, projections/reconciliations across CEE
  • Preparation of memos/executive summaries at each cycle providing overviews & highlighting issues to sales and management
  • Managing the detailed review of quarterly revenue close to monitor & explain any variances of actuals –v- forecasts for all genres
  • Day to day management of the risks and opportunities to deliver financial targets – monitoring of financial and non-financial KPI’s
  • Manage Finance involvement in deal negotiations. Reviews deal valuations (by territory, cross-genre) & review client profitability estimates. Ensure relevant Sales team (Programming, Channel or Digital) receives appropriate supporting financial information to optimise revenues
  • Looking at strategic growth opportunities, in particular on digital initiatives and Free to Air launches / optimisation of Disney Channel reach (balancing reach vs. revenues and costs)
  • Managing Ultimates process in CEE to assist in making informed product strategy decision, and prepare / review relevant Corporate Reports with Sales
  • Providing financial expertise in valuing product portfolio & output deal gaps, & provides strategic financial input to product acquisition decisions
  • Acting as a key partner to Programme & Channel Distribution teams, providing commercial finance support
  • Critically review processes, systems and procedures to recommend and instigate best practice and drive efficiency
  • Key partner to AR team, following up on key accounts and collections
  • Managing and developing direct reports, ensuring in particular that key deliverables are met, and delegate workload appropriately within the team

About you:

  • Degree Qualified or equivalent qualification
  • ACA/CIMA Qualified or equivalent qualification
  • Experience operating at manager level in a similar role
  • Proven experience of stakeholder management and presentation to non-finance people, as well as dealing with all levels of an organisation
  • Experience in Planning, Financial Modelling & Financial Reporting in multi-currency and multinational business environment
  • Proven experience working at an advanced level in Excel
  • Financial Interpretation of Deals & Deal Valuation, Strategic interpretation of financial results, risk management
  • Proven experience of personnel management, as well as working in a commercial, multi-cultural business environment
