An exciting newly created position has arisen with a successful joint-venture operating in the technology industry based in Berkshire for a Commercial Finance Manager. As a key partner to various teams across the business this role offers broad exposure and experience working with both finance and non-finance senior leaders, you'll be seen as the 'go to' finance expert within your business area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on the future success of the organisation.
This role requires the ability to build commercial models, set up reporting and manage governance processes. Reporting into the Senior Commercial Finance Manager and partnering with the Marketing team and senior managers across the business you must be able to comfortably and constructively challenge the status quo.
Key responsibilities;
- Support Insurance Business Owners to increase product sales across all channels.
- Working with business owners to produce budgets, develop forecasting and budgeting schedules and communicate action points to the business ensuring risks and opportunities are fully understood.
- Attending monthly reviews with both internal and external stakeholders, providing valuable input and challenging where necessary.
- Understanding business performance, interpreting analysed data to identify key learnings and suggestions for improvement to present internally.
- Producing financial analysis for business cases as required for new initiatives to help support growth.
Candidates must be educated to degree level and fully qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA). With broad scope to the role, the successful candidate must be flexible in their approach, possess in-depth knowledge and experience within the key finance areas ideally within a commercial setting. Excellent communications skills and the ability to manage relationships with senior people both internally and externally is essential. Candidates must demonstrate a high level of business and commercial acumen with the ability to influence and challenge ideas and initiatives. Excellent analytical skills are a must, along with the ability to identify and solve problems efficiently and effectively with exceptional attention to detail.
