In this very hands on finance role you will lead the finance team and be responsible for all financial matters. This will include managing the finance function, producing monthly results and forecasts, closely manage working capital, provide regular updates to the VC owners as well handling statutory reporting including handling tax matters. Away from the reporting the Finance Director will also be responsible for commercially supporting the business and CEO in evaluating growth opportunities as well as understanding profitability of current business. There will also be a major project around helping develop MI from the newly installed systems to help drive the business growth and profitability. To be considered for the role you will need to be a hands on qualified accountant who has a demonstrable track record of working in leadership roles in SME organisations, you will have had experience of turnaround, you will also need to be commercially savvy and be able to appreciate the bigger picture and help drive strategy. You will not be phased by working in a highly geared business during the turnaround phase before also moving into the growth phase and any experience of working in VC/PE back business will be an advantage.
