We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Divisional Commercial Accountant to join our Food & Distribution and Facilities Management finance team based in Bury St Edmunds. Reporting to the Divisional Financial Controller, you will be responsible for assisting with the reliable and accurate reporting of contract performance, maintaining the contract databases and supporting the sales team with costings.

 Main Responsibilities:

 - Maintain and update the divisional contract database, ensuring any amendments are made on a timely basis
 - Receive contract variations from within the division and ensure these are communicated to the relevant parties via the Weekly Variation Report
 - Support and cover with weekly wage reports
 - Support in completing month end with contract and sector P&Ls
 - Assist with the preparation of quotations for new sites for existing customers
 - Supporting the Operations Directors and Divisional MD with any cost challenges in their portfolios
 - Support the Sales Team with the provision of costings for new tenders and retenders. This includes analysis of TUPE data, productivity calculations and machinery proposals
 - Support with the financial analysis of new contracts within the first quarter of delivery vs the costing model
 - Building cost models that flow freely into the various submission templates which clients utilise
 - Attendance at tender review meetings and costing sign off meetings
 - Assist with the ongoing review of contract performance and report development processes
 - Assist with the development of costing models to benefit other areas of the business ensuring best practice is shared between the various business divisions

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

 - Experience working within a commercial finance role – preferably for a minimum of 2 years
 - Part qualified or fully qualified ACCA / CIMA
 - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
 - Confident communicator, with the ability to articulate a high level of oral and written English
 - Ability to meet tight deadlines
 - Customer focused and proactive
 - Able to deal with a fast paced continuously evolving role
 - Car licence holder as occasional travel to regional offices and sites will be required

 
Some travel and short periods of working at other Servest sites may be required as part of this post on an ad hoc basis, particularly when supporting the Sales Team on bids and tenders. Candidates with experience of working in facilities management would be desirable but this is not essential.
