Frazer John are currently working with a growing business services organisation based out of Central Liverpool. My client is looking for a Finance Systems Accountant to help with the development of the finance systems by improving usage through extensive project work. Systems include Unit 4 Financials, including Billing systems, Travel/Expenses and Banking software. All these systems are crucial to the day-to-day operation of the business.

The role is also focussed on ensuring all systems used by the Finance function operate as planned, with users advised in correct usage and queries responded to in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • To act as the key liaison between Finance and IT - ie must be both Finance literate (at least part qualified accountant) and also be IT literate.
  • To ensure all Finance systems operate as planned. Assisting in the developing and implementing new financial and reporting systems to support the Finance function
  • Offering support, advice and assistance to Finance users in response to Software and Hardware queries
  • Actively pursuing systems and process improvement initiatives to ensure the efficient use of human and systems resource
  • Ensuring that financial data is held on a secure and robust systems platform
  • Ensuring systems audit compliance and data integrity
Personal Specifications:
  • A sound knowledge of mainstream professional financial applications
  • PC and server based applications including Microsoft Office products, specialised banking and reporting would be beneficial.
  • Prior experience in use of the following is desirable but not essential, as full training will be given: Coda (included Expenses) , use of banking software, Essbase.
  • Previous experience in a finance function which supported Finance Systems would be advantageous.
Salary:

£30,000 p/a + Excellent Benefits
