Commercial Business Partner

Robert Half has been engaged to support one of the UK's leading Retail organisations in their search for a Commercial Finance Business Partner to manage the interface between, Sales, Marketing and Operations, focusing on the commercial pricing and positioning of the brand as they look to increase market share.

The Role

The role of Commercial Finance Business Partner has come about following the restructure of the organisations finance teams, so that there is now a greater emphasis on commercially viable profit enhancing information.

As Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will be in a pivotal role within the business increase the control measures around budgeting, forecasts and Pricing. You will have exposure to the wider finance and none-finance functions, ensuring that all variables from internal and external operations are taken into account. This will include

 Competitor analysis,

 Market trends & analysis

 Forecasting,

 Budgeting

 Pricing Positioning Placement

The successful qualified accountant is to be encouraged to attend external client presentations with Operations and Sales Directors. Yours skills as an accounting professional and a commercial manager will be utilised to show clients that this organisation values its internal talent and uses them to the best of their ability. You will also be a key part of the senior management team, helping to drive profit - this could be through various commercial activities i.e. loss leader, entry pricing strategies, completion market positioning.

This is a very exciting Finance Business Partners role, which will have you positioned outside of the "run of the mill" finance team, and aligned more with operations.

This role would best suit a talented qualified accountant who has the ability to communicate at a high level, build relationships, develop processes, and understand the necessity of Finance in an internal stake-holding facing position.

Your Profile

We are looking for a qualified accountant, who can marry up solid modelling stills and a communicative nature, which enables them to sit in none finance and finance environments, to achieve profitable solutions which support business growth. Your key focus will be around the pricing strategies that the business will employ under your stewardship.

Salary & Benefits

As Commercial Finance Business Partner, the salary banding has been set at £37,500 to £40,000 with the view to develop you rapidly through your career
