Senior Financial Accountant

As a truly international firm, employing over 12,000 people in more than 80 offices, our strong global presence offers clients and employees a wealth of cross-cultural experience.  The primary function of this role is to work as part of a busy Finance Function in the position of Senior Financial Accountant.  The role will report to the Financial Reporting & Accounting Manager. 

Job Description:

• Preparation of our statutory accounts for all entities, including consolidated accounts
• Prepare and post journal entries into Oracle including payroll, prepayments, provisions, US GAAP adjustments
• Maintaining key GL account reconciliations, with preparation and coding of monthly file
• Month end submission and review
• Key point of contact in audit and statutory filing compliance
• Statistical reporting to ONS for the group
• Responsible for many areas of cash management including: weekly and monthly reconciliations; quarterly revaluations; daily monitoring and long term forecasting; advising management on fund utilisation
• Office insurance renewals: ensuring all areas of the business are fully covered for all London locations. Liaise with broker and global treasury and to be the main point of contact for queries
• Responsible for all areas of fixed assets processing: additions, depreciation, disposals, reconciliations
• Provide analysis and forecasts for property related costs 

Skills/Experience:

• University degree (or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting and taxation and broad financial accounting background
• Good excel and other computer skills with the flexibility and ability to use varying accounting systems 
• Experience with Oracle or Business Objects
• Familiarity with US and UK GAAP is an advantage
• Professional Service company background preferred
