The Role

Working with internal stakeholders throughout the group, you will maintain and monitor costs.

Duties will include:

• To understand and monitor the makeup of the standard costs of each product
• Work closely with sales, marketing, purchasing and technical teams on projects looking at efficiencies
• Analysing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost
• Analysing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
• Investigating variances and explaining them
• Making estimates of new and proposed product costs
• Review gross margin trends and make recommendations for improvements
• Support the budgeting process through modelling of reports

The Candidate

• Qualified Accountant ACCA, ACA or ACMA or qualified by experience
• Experience working in manufacturing with strong stakeholder skills in a multi-site, global operation
• Clarity in written and verbal communication and able to articulate financial issues in an easily understandable fashion.
• Confident and articulate in presentation.
• A true team player capable of flexibility and application to tasks at a variety of different levels
