Based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, our listed international client seeks a Finance Analyst to join their European Finance Team on a permanent basis as a Rebates Analyst.
The company is a European division of a global business and, with continued growth forecast across Europe, there are possibilities for internal opportunities in the future both in the UK and internationally.
The successful individual will be CIMA, ACCA, ACA part qualified/ Finalist level Accountant with experience of developing processes and controls. Any experience working with sales, pricing, rebates or FP&A teams would be highly beneficial. Experience working in a European, EMEA or Group head office environment would also be useful. This individual will have the ability to implement and support continuous improvement within Finance whilst showing strong commercial and analytical skills.
This role will be pivotal in establishing and maintaining a methodology towards customer rebates, aimed at achieving a sound transactional process, a strong control environment, increased revenue / margin and consistency in rebate practices within and across divisions. The successful applicant will also be able to analyse complex data and present findings in a clear and communicative manner whilst acting as a lead and business partner on ad-hoc projects.
Duties and deliverables will include:
- Implement and maintain a monthly process to monitor and report the level of accruals by customer by offer. Communicate output to Sales in a proactive manner with the objective to highlight areas where Sales' involvement is required to close any potential gaps
- Establish a tight process to track rebate (i.e. actuals versus targets) and ensure that there are no undue disbursements
- Initiate and drive thorough quarterly rebate reviews involving Sales to ensure that SAP accruals are aligned with contractual terms and customer run rate.
- Challenge Sales to validate / verify rebate accruals balance by customer with the objective to achieve a strong control environment
- Communicate revenue impacts resulting from the quarterly rebate reviews to the relevant people (FP&A / Sales / Management)
