Commercial Finance Manager

Our client is a London based global FMCG business that boasts some of the world’s leading brands as part of its exciting product portfolio.

This is a 6-month temporary Commercial Finance Manager assignment to cover whilst they recruit permanently. Naturally, if interested, any eligible candidates will also be considered for the permanent vacancy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Finance Director providing month-end variance analysis, leading 'deep dive' investigations into key emerging or unexplained trends feeding in to the budgeting and forecasting cycles
• Feed Reporting actuals and Analytical insight into the quarterly forecast, annual budget processes and strategic planning whilst ensuring timely and accurate delivery
• Running the monthly mid volumes forecasts for the local business as well as consolidating all submissions for the region
• Analysis/review of brand P&L’s through global checks and bridges to explain any variances
• Analyse complex information quickly, draw meaningful conclusions and provide synthetic financial analysis that enables the various departments (primarily Sales) to make appropriate business decisions
• Dedicated and complex analytical (‘what-if’) support to the key stake holders
• Producing customer and promotional analysis to ensure profitability of the promotional offer activity

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous FMCG sector experience
• An accounting qualification
• Strong commercial business partnering and full P&L experience
• Proficient with MS Office tools including advanced Excel
• Well-developed logical, analytical problem solving skills
• Systems: Hyperion and Essbase beneficial
