My client has Group offices in multiple international locations but for the purpose of this role, you will be based in their modern offices on the outskirts of Stoke-on-Trent. As a result of continued growth over the last 3 years, my client is seeking to add to their team with the appointment of a newly created role - a Finance Business Partner / Commercial Financial Analyst.
An integral role to this dynamic and enterprising business, you will be tasked with building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders in order to provide financial analysis to support business investment decisions. A challenging and varied commercial role, this is an exciting career opportunity in which you will be 'hands on' with a common sense approach, possess excellent communication and people skills, be of analytical mind, work well under pressure, demonstrate an enthusiastic approach to change and a drive to pursue innovative ideas. You will report directly into an experienced Head of Commercial who has a great track record of development and succession planning. With a remit that offers genuine responsibility from Day 1, the successful candidate will play a key role in analysing commercials that can shape pricing and influence decision making. You will be well placed to further progress your career.
Drawing upon your skills, you will be responsible for commercial reporting and analysis across a range of products, customers and categories. You will build meaningful relationships with key departments such as Sales, and work directly with the Customer, through a 'partnership' approach. Responsibilities will extend to detailed reporting, rate volume mix analysis and commentary of sales performance by segment, product, territory and sales team. You will be tasked with identification, analysis and communication of key sales trends. Furthermore, you will review and develop existing reporting to improve the commercial understanding and operation of the Sales team. You will be a capable Excel user and ideally have knowledge of open-book accounting.
Due to the profile of this role, my client is ideally seeking a CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified Accountant but will seriously consider applications from Part Qualified/QBE candidates.
