This is a newly created Head of Commercial Finance role looking to help drive commercial value and growth. My client is a global manufacturer and this division has grown from £12M to £25M in the last 4 years. The successful candidate will report to the UK Finance Director and be focused on driving financial and process change in the contracts division through effective commercial business analysis, financial control and working capital management.

Role & Responsibilities
-Responsible for all financial aspects of the division, including but not limited to:
-The financial performance of the division
-Business analysis and reporting
-Financial control and compliance, including cost management
-Working with department managers to develop efficient processes - financial and operational
-Providing financial and strategic support to the channel director and operations director
-Managing the contract (e.g. JCT 2011 Design & Build) review process, including financial evaluation, identifying key risks and liaising with the customers/ Quantity Surveyors.
-Managing working capital; Working with the credit control team to improve debt collection, processes, query resolution and expediting applications for payment and final accounts
-Providing financial guidance, support and education to the contracts division
-Strategic and financial planning, including the preparation of annual budgets and monthly re-forecasting
-Managing the open orders and outstanding invoice list
-Supplier negotiations
-Working closely with the accounts department in Head Office to create a robust, efficient and effective financial environment
-Management, coaching and development including two indirect reports

Skills & Experience
Required
Qualified ACA/ACCA
-Minimum 5 years post qualified work experience with responsibility for team members performance and development
-Proven experience in financial control, process improvement and working capital management
-Trained in meeting challenging deadlines
-Strong communication skills
-Well-developed IT skills and high level of computer literacy (including MS applications)
-Work experience in an international environment
-Advantageous
-Experience in the construction industry is a strong advantage
-Familiarity with Epicor ERP
-German
-SQL experience
