We are currently recruiting for an Interim Director of Finance and Corporate Services for a prestigious and well placed business based in the NE Lincolnshire area for an initial 3-6-month contract. This is a highly commercial role which at the same time requires someone who is able to work as a hands on Accountant focused on managing a small but experienced finance team. They are looking to recruit an individual who is passionate about delivering excellent service to all stakeholders both externally and internally. Outlines of some of the responsibilities are below:

  • Managing all aspects of finance for a SME organisation including full responsibility for the management accounts production including reviewing the numbers and delving into trends
  • Financial Statements, Treasury Management and Policies
  • Managing a small Finance, Procurement, HR and Customer support team
  • Budgeting and Forecasting and cost control
  • Managing change and process improvement
  • Performance reporting, analysis and business partnering
  • Liaising with external partners including auditors and HMRC
  • Manage all funding and regulatory requirements
  • Ad-hoc tasks

Within this position you will work as a hands on accountant with the ability to develop and challenge your team as well as being able to lead by example and offer the business a genuine business partnering experience. As a minimum you will be an AAT accountant who is QBE or ideally ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with a demonstrable background in process improvement. As this is a role that takes in both commercial and financial aspects of finance you will be adaptable and able to operate with speed and intelligence whilst utilizing your team to its full potential. This is very much a people management and influencing role so it goes without saying you will need excellent communication and presentational skills.
