Our client is focused on sourcing, executing and monitoring equity and equity linked investments primarily in non-public Infrastructure (transportation, energy and utilities) companies on behalf of investment funds advised by the Firm and third party clients. The candidate will report to the Director of Finance and will have unrivalled exposure to senior management and portfolio companies.

- Work closely with our portfolio company finance teams to identify, scope and execute value adding improvements to finance systems, controls and operations
- Co-ordinate overarching approach to risk management of portfolio companies
- Act as primary contact for portfolio company finance teams
- Advise on accounting, tax and structuring issues in relation to new and existing investments
- Prepare material for board and other meetings
- Work with the deal teams and other asset managers to ensure a co-ordinated and value enhancing approach to portfolio companies
- Liaise with external auditors of portfolio companies to ensure high audit quality and any identified weaknesses in systems and controls are escalated and acted upon
- Work with advisors on the tax position of portfolio companies and implementation of tax advice
- Ensure portfolio companies have the appropriate system and controls in place to ensure timely and accurate debt reporting and compliance
- Liaise with portfolio company management and administrators to ensure distributions are received by the Fund in a timely manner and in accordance with tax advice
- Provide input into the valuation process for portfolio companies
- Oversee the administrators of holding companies
- Work with internal auditors, as applicable, to identify and test high risk areas of systems and controls of portfolio companies
- Liaise with UK compliance and fund compliance to provide management information to satisfy compliance obligations
- Assist with the preparation of material for board and other meetings
- Excellent academic record from a leading university
- Hold a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- At least eight years post qualified experience of working in or with finance functions of operating businesses
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and knowledge of European local GAAPs
- The candidate should be based in London
- Fluency in European language(s) well regarded
