Group Accountant

The SF Group is currently recruiting for a Group Accountant to join an SME Manufacturing Business in Burton on Trent. This role is a hands on position and needs someone who has a broad skillset and is prepared to delve into the detail of a business.

The successful candidate will have full accountability for the management and financial reporting of the group, and will be tasked with the constant improvement of financial accuracy and control.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• All management accounts prep and production
• Cash flow projections, forecasting, weekly reporting and variance analysis
• Review month end information ensuring accuracy and following this up with relevant department heads
• Ensure that all financial activities are conducted in a manner that fully complies with the requirements of good governance and accounting policies
• Complex revenue recognition
• Year end prep and production of statutory accounts
• Liaising with auditors
• Analysis of reports, using complex financial systems
• Stock control
• Balance Sheet Reconciliation's

Required skills and experience:

• Qualified Accountant
• Track record of strong financial management
• Strong stakeholder awareness
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
