Finance Assistant

My client, a highly reputable and growing sports organisation based in West London require an Accounts Assistant to join the business ASAP. Key to the role is providing all round support to the Head of Finance.

The Role

• Processing payments for the purchase ledger and all transactions relating to sales ledger
• Dealing with supplier queries via email and telephone contact
• Prepare bank reconciliations
• Assisting the Production Managers with monthly actual cost reporting against budget and analysing and explaining budget v actual variances
• Managing and reconciling the production cash floats and ensuring that proper controls are maintained over cash advances
• Processing all transactions through accounting software in line with deadlines
• Processing and reconciliation of monthly credit card statements
• Reconciling of company fixed asset register
• Issuing and reconciling company petty cash
• Posting agreed journals
• Raising customer invoices
• Ad hoc analysis

The Person

• Have a minimum of 12 months experience in a similar accounts assistant or finance related Position
• Ability to work independently and proactively within tight deadlines
• Effective use of all Microsoft Office programs
• Good attention to detail, self-starter and determination to succeed.
