My client, a leading law firm based in Manchester city centre, is seeking an Accountant to assist them for an initial period of 6 months. The firm is extremely busy and requires a candidate who can 'hit the ground running'. A small and friendly team, consisting of multiple fee-earners, including an experienced and inspirational Managing Partner.
The successful candidate must have in-depth experience of the Solicitors Accounts Rules, and previous experience of accounting whilst working within a law firm. Furthermore, you will have a working knowledge of both Proclaim and Excel. A broad role, your primary responsibilities will be to review balance sheets, verify trial balance figures and reconcile changes between management accounts and consolidated statements. Furthermore, you will assist in the accurate and timely provision of financial reporting information for the Group, including assisting in preparing monthly management accounts, preparing monthly reports and analysis for the Group's strategic partners and participating and supporting in the creation of budgets and forecasts for the Group. You will also assist in the production of Solicitors Accounts Rules monthly reconciliation reports.
The successful candidate will possess outstanding attention to detail and a can do' attitude; combined with the ability to work in a small team environment. An initial 6 month Fixed Term Contract, my client will consider candidates who are Qualified, Part Qualified or QBE.
